Our creations were intended and first used as wall Tapestries. As wall Tapestries or wall hangings the intention was to produce stunning art that was large and bold in size and be the centerpiece for a room.
After inquiries about bed size(s) as well as online purchases with the intention for use as bedding (as a Bed Comforter, Beadspread, or Quilt) we came up with the bedding size chart below. Most of the bedding purchases have been for King sized beds or larger! Generally we have been told that it is better that the Comforter be larger size than recommended up to a point as the numbers below are the minimum or standard size. Of course, many people fold the Comforter over at the head so exact sizes give or take can be adjusted that way.
The word, "Quilt" or "Tapestry" or,"Comforter",as used here are interchangeable and mean the same thing. We have had comments that our creations are not technically, "Quilts", as there is no backing or batting used on the reverse side. That would be correct!
Most of our customers use a cotton flat sheet (300-1000 thread count) between the quilt and the Bed.
